  Welcome !
Lostock Rangers JFC supports the Lostock Hall School by providing qualified coaches for the weekly Football Hobby Club which takes place every Thursday during the school terms (see the term timetables for confirmation of dates).

This website is intended to replace the start of term letters that had previously been issued to parents. We are doing this to reduce the amount of paper we consume and to provide a more accessible view of the hobby club timetable and payments schedule.

  The Process

1. Register your child for the hobby club
2. If your child has any special needs or medical conditions, make sure that we know about them
3. Make payment for the next half term before the date indicated in the term timetable
4. Make sure that your child is prepared for each session and has the correct footwear and clothes
5. if you do not want to be contacted by email or SMS, please send an email to info@lostockrangers.org

Registration Forms
All children taking part in the football hobby club must have a completed registration form signed by a parent or guardian.
You should complete one registration form per child when you first start to take part in the hobby club.
If you registered for the hobby club in a previous school year, your registration is still valid and you do not need to complete a new one.

An important part of the registration document is the notification of medical conditions.
If your child's medical status has changed since registration you must notify the coaches about this change, however temporary it may be.

If your circumstances have changed since registration (e.g. chance of contact details or permanent medical condition), you must complete a new registration form and ensure that it is given to a hobby club coach.

If a registration form is not completed, the child not be accepted into the hobby club.

How much to pay
Payment is based on a block of weeks that take place during a half term.
Payment is made before attending the first session of the half term.

You must pay all weeks in the block and cannot pay for the individual weeks that you attend.

The half terms are listed on this website as well as the dates for each session and the cost of attending the hobby club.

When to pay
Please make payment by the date indicated in the appropriate term timetable.

How to Pay

  • By cheque - make payable to Lostock Rangers JFC and write the child’s name on the back of the cheque.
  • By direct payment into Lostock Rangers JFC bank account (details available on request - Send an email to info@lostockrangers.org)

NOTE WE WILL NOT ACCEPT CASH PAYMENTS - Cash will be returned and your child will not be allowed to take part in the hobby club.

Who to pay
Envelopes containing payments may be handed to coaches after coaching sessions or given to the school reception for them to pass on to us.

Additional Information

I have been involved with Lostock Rangers for over 10 years as a player and more recently as an FA qualified coach.
While I still play for the club, I really enjoy coaching children as it is very rewarding experience.
Especially when you can see the fun they have and the progress that they make.

I started coaching with the Saturday Club and now take part in the Wednesday after school sessions.

    Toby
I have been playing football with Lostock Rangers for over 10 years. I was a 'Senior' at Hulme Hall Grammar School where I attained a GCSE in Physical Education and my Junior Sports Leader Award. I hold an FA Level 1 coaching qualification.

As a player, I have been selected to represent the North of England in the ISA National Football Championships as well as playing for Lostock and being coached by Manchester United.

I have just completed A'levels at Aquinas College Stockport and will be starting a course at Manchester University in 2015.
I hope the children taking part in the coaching sessions have as much fun as I do!

    Adam
I live in Bolton and currently play for the Lostock Rangers U21 Team.
I have always had a passion for performing arts. Studied at the Arden School of Theatre and have had several television appearance including Coronation Street and 32 Brinkburn Street.
I love football as it teaches discipline and is a great way to keep fit. Having the opportunity to give back what I have learned is really rewarding.

    Mason
I have been with Lostock Rangers for 5 years and really enjoy coaching the younger children.

    Simon
Iím studying PE at Manchester University, aiming to become a PE teacher whether it is in primary schools or secondary schools I am still yet to decide. Iím very passionate about sport and find teaching and coaching sports such as football very rewarding and entertaining. I enjoy working with young children of all ages and its great to see a child develop or try something new, not just in skill levels but also in a social way too, by engaging and stepping out of their usual comfort zones.

I have been with Lostock Rangers for 11 years. I was a 'Senior' at Hulme Hall Grammar School where I attained a GCSE grade A in Physical Education and my Junior Sports Leader Award. I hold an FA Level 1 coaching badge.

I spent 2 years being coached by Manchester United in their 'Community Soccer Scheme', followed by time in the 'Academy Development Centre' then 3 years in the 'Advanced Centre'.
Having completed my A'levels at Aquinas College Stockport, I am now at University studying to be a primary school teacher with a speciality in Sports Education.
