The Saturday Soccer Club aims to provide a safe, friendly environment for children aged 4 to 12* to enjoy playing football.

The sessions for the younger children will combine fun with learning football skills particularly dribbling and small sided games 2 x2 and 3 x3 which will guarantee plenty of involvement.

For the older age groups we naturally want the sessions to be enjoyable but also to develop skills that will improve the players football and athletic skills.

A session may include a warm up of up to 20 minutes focusing on ball skills where every player will have a ball in an enclosed space. The session will also include agility exercises which children also find to be fun. Other exercises will focus on the ability to pass and retain possession and also game situations such as 2 v 1.Sessions will end with a game where the players choose the sides and the rules which is a throwback to the days of street football. Other exercises during the sessions will use game related exercises that can be found in the recent FA document for youth development-"The Future Game". These will be used to help the players develop tactical and technical skills in situations that will occur during games.

*Please speak to any of the coaches if your child is outside of this age range.

I have been with the club for quite a long time and enjoyed the game from small side football through to 11 a-side.
I am very much looking forward to helping develop players skills and encourage them to take part in fun side of the game.

Each of the coaches will bring something different to the Saturday Club and I hope the kids enjoy it as much as we do. I am a qualified FA level 1 coach.

I have been involved with Lostock Rangers for over 10 years as a player and more recently as an FA qualified coach.
While I still play for the club, I really enjoy coaching children as it is very rewarding experience.
Especially when you can see the fun they have and the progress that they make.

I started coaching with the Saturday Club and now take part in the Thursday after school sessions.

I have been playing football with Lostock Rangers for over 10 years. I was a 'Senior' at Hulme Hall Grammar School where I attained a GCSE in Physical Education and my Junior Sports Leader Award. I hold an FA Level 1 coaching qualification.

As a player, I have been selected to represent the North of England in the ISA National Football Championships as well as playing for Lostock and being coached by Manchester United.

I am currently at university where I am taking a course in Animation and Illustration and help run coaching sessions twice a week for Lostock Rangers.
I hope the children taking part in the coaching sessions have as much fun as I do!

I live in the poynton area and have been playing football for 9 years and I have played 3 years at a Academy level. I am an FA Level 1 qualified coach and recently took part in an FA Leadership event. I have found that being a coach is a very rewarding role as you get to see the progression of the children as the learn new skills and knowledge of the game.

I am currently studying at college for a btec level 3 in sports performance. After college I hope to attend a university to study sports coaching which I hope will help me in my aim to be a full time football coach

I live in Bolton and currently play for the Lostock Rangers U21 Team.
I have always had a passion for performing arts. Studied at the Arden School of Theatre and have had several television appearance including Coronation Street and 32 Brinkburn Street.
I love football as it teaches discipline and is a great way to keep fit. Having the opportunity to give back what I have learned is really rewarding.

I live in Handforth and I'm a lifelong football fan.
I have been working with children since I was 16 and have a Level 3 diploma in Playwork. I have recently passed the FA Level 1 coaching course and I'm delighted to join the team at Lostock Rangers.
My overall aim is to help the children develop as footballers, and above all else, enjoy themselves.

As well as coaching players, I am a Lostock Junior Team manager and have two young boys playing in two of the Lostock Rangers teams .

I have been with Lostock Rangers for 11 years. I was a 'Senior' at Hulme Hall Grammar School where I attained a GCSE grade A in Physical Education and my Junior Sports Leader Award. I hold an FA Level 1 coaching badge.

I spent 2 years being coached by Manchester United in their 'Community Soccer Scheme', followed by time in the 'Academy Development Centre' then 3 years in the 'Advanced Centre'. I have completed my University degree to be a primary school teacher specialising in Sports Education.
